Johan’s story

A fantastic competition by the Canal! We went for a day of match fishing on the Roeselare-Ooigem canal at Ingelmunster near the greenhouses. This location is known to have big breams and because it was the middle of summer I had prepared 1 part Expanda Caramel and 1 part Lake yellow.

From experience I know that waters where regular fishing for carp takes place, breams also like their feed with pellets in it.

When I got to my place, i could already see huge fish activity all over the water, so I knew it was going to be beautiful day. After we got the go-ahead, I put out 5 large baskets full of cut maggots and casters. Fish started biting pretty quickly and in the end I won the match with slightly more than 23kg. So, for me, it was a brilliant day
